Unlike other schools with small-scale sports facilities, our central London position means that we have easy access to world class facilities. All children are encouraged to participate in an interesting and varied physical education programme.

Portland Place School offers a true A-Z of popular sport including: Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Cross Country, Fencing, Football, Hockey, Netball, Rounders, Swimming, Tennis and Rugby.

Outdoor sports such as football, netball, tennis, cricket and athletics take place in Regent's Park less than a ten minute walk from the school.

Indoor activities including basketball and fencing take place at the University of Westminster gym just minutes away in Regent Street. Swimming is at the Seymour Centre, and in the summer we have nets at Lords indoor school.

Optional after-school sport activities abound with senior and junior clubs for matches held with schools across London and the UK.
